gallery Bail Documents – when a client is in custody

Where a client is in custody and bail is granted in their absence (or if they are on telelink) – what you already knew is that the bail documents get sent to the prison to get signed… what you didn’t know is that if there is a surety in the matter, then they DO NOT file their surety at the Prothonotary BUT at the prison itself.

This means if a bank cheque is cut, it needs to be made out to the prison where the client is being held.
